I wonder what our Bama friends who question our coach have to say now. Looks like the great Saban is mortal after all.

Terry, just last week, again, you said you had questions about Miles's coaching ability, well, are you going to point that powerfull light of evaluation inward at Saban? Has he done a good job this year? Don't give me that recruiting mantra, because he's paid to coach on Saturday now, too. Or are we still blaming Shula? I guess there's a big talent gap between bama and ULM, right?

That statement was in response to something red had brought up (along with someone else, can't remember who) about my saying I did question his coaching ability. I had also said that the 3rd year was the year that normally defines a coach's ability and this was the year that would.

I'm also seeing things from this LSU team I saw at OSU as well. But, there is a big difference in the talent both of those teams have compared to each other.

Just like I said in previous posts here the team has overcome obstacles. Your talent has won out and that was never in suspect from day one of this season, was it?

Today, it was an attitude and mentality deficiency. The blame falls all around.

Typical bama answer, we win because we have more talent. I have a lot of respect for you Terry, I would have expected better.

Look at what this team has overcome, look at the injuries we've sustained and the schedule we went through, compared to bama's.

Talent alone doesn't win games, else bama would have won today.

Which goes directly to prove the talent you guys have on hand. How many teams can you think of that shoot themselves in the foot so often but still come out on the winning end? How many teams deal with the injuries in their starting corps and their 2's fill the need? Would you rather me use the term "talented depth?"

I agree talent alone doesn't win all the games. If it did, you wouldn't have lost to UK.

for the sake of your argument, yes, depth...there is the key and I agree. the depth on this LSU team is unreal....and its young. which is why we aint going anywhere anytime soon

no, I'd rather you give a little credit to our coach. btw, those two's you talk about were recruited by Miles.

Saban will make bama better, but today, and last week, he was just as much at fault as anyone.

Is he coaching at a 4 mill a year level?

    Nope

Looking back as some posts in Jan, looks like Red called it with a 6-6 record, even though he said they should be better than that. He just didn't include ULM as a loss in his analysis.....:hihi:

Read down the thread, Terry said Shula was no longer on the sidelines and the cupboard was not bare in response to my prediction. Well Saban did his best Shula impression today.

I'm a NLU grad too ('81). How bout those Indians/Warhawks. I was proud. Listened to the audio on radio while watching the Tigers on CBS take care of the Johnny Rebs.
