The mechanics are all wrong on that option. The QB and running back are too close together. Many times it takes just one defender to cover both. And JJ is also too deep. There is no way he can cut up the field and gain decent yards when he is starting 5 yards back. He did it once but not any of the other times.
I never ment to sound like he plays it perfect every play, BUT tonight he did very very good on a few of them AND is much improvement over the past games. The last time I saw a good option from JJ was the GT bowl game, then tonight, I saw him totaly sell it a few good times, which is my point. The short side of the field is crap and I dont know why they run it to that side.
