Yeah, I could see us changing it a bit, I just think that when you haven't been teaching the technique all year, you leave yourself prone to mistakes by implementing it now like penalties for chop blocks. If it is something we have been teaching all year, then yes by all means we should use it, but if not, I don't want to add it just for this game. Sometimes try to get to fancy instead of just doing what you do best can hurt. Best example off the top of my mind was last years bama game with some of the stupid penalties when we tried to get too cute. Almost cost us the game.
They say we will have Cody back for the game on Sat... http://www.tidesports.com/article/2...dy_back_at_full_speed__Davis_talks_recruiting
Good article about Cody and Davis. I noticed that Davis didn't mention that his offer from LSU was revoked after he took the trip to Bama.
given that black and herm had a hard time moving anyone from florida's DL makes me skeptical that cody will be moved. might be a game for williams.
I think the consensus on this board was that our O-Line simply didn't come to play against Florida. I can't blame them...all we heard all week was how small Florida's D-Line was and how our O-Line would dominate them. They haven't looked that lackluster since, and I doubt they will again. Scott and the O-Line should have a big day...or at least as big as you can possibly get against that D.
you may be right, but i cant evaluate emotions. i can and do. those boys will learn quickly that taking a game off doesnt fly in the real world. and they are supposed to be leaders.
Yes they will...but only after they experience the repurcussions first-hand. I think the Florida game provided that and hope that the lesson is now learned. How else were they to learn EXCEPT by screwing up? How do any of us? This team will be stronger next year for the experiences gained this year. LSU is down but not out, and I think they'll be a record-setting bunch in '09. One season of lumps on the head and treadmarks on the heart is a small price to pay for that.
