I've never hated any college football team. Not even Notre Dame. When I say I hate them I mean the fans, their local media and maybe the coach. As for the players they are just guys trying to better their life by getting a degree or maybe going to the NFL. I don't even hate the Alabama players, not even Eddie Lacy or Landon Collins from Dutchtown who could have gone to LSU. Alabama does have the worst fans by far. Notre Dame use to be at the top of my hate list because of all the national media hype but now The Irish have become almost irrelevant. If there was no football in Alabama all those gumps would have in their lives would be moonshine and meth.
The players hated each other too. I went to one game where there was a fist fight between the teams at the end of the game.
Quickly being replaced by "opie" right there in Lafayette. I just went on a sales trip with a distributor of ours from Houston to Houma. They would tell me before we got there "never wear P&G in here, they may not toss you out but you'l never get an order if they know you are for LSU" that is pretty sad. I do hate the gumps. They would be one notch of increased ire than Mr. 8 >but < 10 himself
When I was a kid in Houma half my family were LSU alumni and half went to Tulane. The LSU/Tulane games were interesting. I remember a couple of my older cousins getting in pretty heated arguments while the "adults" were always the calm ones. One thing I learned from observing a bunch of Catholic family members and from myself.....Tulane sucks. And ole miss. And bama. Everyone else blows.
Well, its not a football stadium. Or a championship trophy. Or All-Americans. I don't know. Hookers? Transvestites? Mimes?
