Quick question for everyone...I've heard much criticism of Miles winning with Saban's players, now what in the heck did Meyer do at Florida last year. Wasn't that Zook/Spurrier's players?

You see, with Florida it was different, cause Ron Zook sucks and Urban Meyer is the next Saban.:wave:

well i haven't said anything negative, in the "Was this really "our" year thread i gave Miles the props he deserves. but if you'd like to lump me into a group with everyone else thats your right.
I get so tired of hearing someone else's players like the coach takes all the credit. many of the players would have come here anyway, so it wasnt just SABAN .. its more LSU. here let me draw you a picture. 1. LSU is bigger than any coach, ANY coach. LSU recruits itself, sure it helps to have a great team, coach, winning record and great recruiter but dont forget this IS LSU! 2. A coaches job is to develop talent regardless of the level he gets them at. 3. EVEY coach that comes in has to work with former recruits, its part of the job. 4. It was SABAN;s JOB to recruit talent when he was here, not for saban but for LSU! Its understood a coach may leave a school and the kid may wind up playing for another coach. Kids arent dumb they know this. 5. They usually look at more than just the coach they look at the ATHLETIC PROGRAM as a whole, if they are smart. acedemics if they are smart.
