Me neither. That rivarly goes far deeper than just the players; what goes on is between them. Let them figure out what constitutes class.
Pointless? I'd much rather see us in a BCS game than the Peach or Cotton. I think most of the Tiger fan base would as well. My guess is you have only been around long enough to see LSU in it's good times...there were times when we hoped to even make it to a bowl game.
on one hand i hate bama and am happy when anything bad happens to them. on the other hand i do understand that this was classless sort of. on a third hand (wait, 3 hands??) that was some funny stuff. it's funny, if it happened here you would be texting and twittering how funny it was. it's called satire. stomping on the eye......that's classless. but for good measure eff both those schools.
What did you expect after Cam figured out the fans were throwing fake money. He thought it was real money, and when he realized it wasn't, he saw that as a breach of contract, so he didn't throw the game.
that was the 2000 Bama game. Bama punted to LSU. Guy got blocked into the returner causing him to miss it. ball rolled back inside the 10, LSU clearly recovered (clearly as in no one else was even in the picture when our guy landed on it). refs originally threw flag for interfenernce. huddled, decided player was blocked into returner. in all the confusion, they forgot who recovered. gave Bama ball 1st and goal. crowd went nuts, saban had an anuerism, officials huddled again. jumbotron replayed it a couple dozen times while officials were huddled. Lsu plyers surrounded refs pointing at the screen. refs finally awarded the ball to LSU. Bama coach had an anuerism. another long huddle/discussion. then two dudes came running out of student section, dropped trou and mooned the visiting fans in south endzone. police chase on field was pretty good. one dude juked a couple cops out of their jocks. of course he got body slammed when they finally caught him. 1st win over Bama in Death Valley since '69. goalpost came down even though they were coated in vaseline. it was an epic night.
And now the SEC prohibits the jumbotron operators from replaying a contested play more than once. Don't want to second-guess that replay official.
