obviously. id say they "competed" pretty well against a national championship caliber team which was the original statement.
see uga, uf, lsu levels. lsu finally got to this level 2-3 years ago. it takes a rollover of great recruiting classes. sure bama will compete and upset teams, but beating au, lsu, ut, and another top east team all or most in a season regularly wont happen for a few years. not a shot, just how it works.
By no means am I insinuating this is going to happen, but it is possible... Sometimes, the addition of one player on either side of the ball can make a HUGE difference. Moreno, for Georgia, was a difference maker this past season. I'm trying to think of the LB'er for FSU that was suspended, but when he came back changed the face of their defense completely. We'll see how next year ends up. While the W/L record wasn't where I thought it would be (I thought 9) the team was still there in all of the games we played. A difference maker on offense very well could have changed the outcome of those losses...
Regarding Tidefans.com, I marvel how similar the board is managed to how communist China controls its media. They can't handle anything close to reality about their program. Heck, even a Bama fan coming close to questioning a coaches decision gets publicly warned with termination. Just following the Major Applewhite debacle was a perfect example of how delusional their fan base is.
Yes if that difference maker had been a QB. I wouldn't look for great improvement until saban finds a reliable QB.
Huge difference... a National Championship. Then why put yourself through that, don't go there. :hihi:
If you can't tell the difference between Matt Flynn and Wilson then I can understand how you could be easily confused into thinking Bama is ready to be the team to beat in the SEC and nationally.
