    Then this team lacks focus.

Fact is Bama has arguably the best D in the country. Despite struggling passing the ball they run it down your throat. So Bama can afford a few stupid penalties. On the other hand LSU cant move the ball well so penalties are much more important to us. We have to play error free football.

A big part of the penalties is also when the penalties occur. Against UF, LSU penalties kept many drives alive. A few penalties on O killed drives when we were actually moving the ball.

Hallelujah! For whatever reason we always seem to have these gump topics littered all over our board. Its been going on since the day he was named coach there. Gawd dammit people, quit feeding the notion we are obsessed with Bama and their coach. Its really pathetic.

Although this thread had devolved into nonsense, I'm assuming John was responding to all of the comments lately about how disciplined Bama is under Saban.

I've only seem Bama play VT and Ole Miss. Penalties weren't that noticeable in the OM game; however, Bama had a couple of flagrant unsportsmanlike fouls against VT--that spoke to a lack of "control" of players by Saban; his all-world LB (McClain), in particular, shoved a ref. Are you kidding me?

Also, quite a few Bama player have been arrested under Saban's watch.

I guess John wanted to point out the fallacy in the Saban's disciplined, but Miles is not argument.

lets just remember when we won it all under miles we were one of if not the most penalized teams in the country.

and the year UF won it they were they most penalized.

at that point i pretty much discarded that stat as very relevant.

now if we want to talk about the frustration ratio when a team you're pulling for continually jumps offsides then we can talk.

that sends my frustration level through the roof.

but i still love you deaf, forgetful and obese ciron.

Third in the SEC in fewest penalties is not bad at all. if we make no penalties at all, we aren't playing hard enough.
