Truth hurts? Just saying the DE with the Cajuns Ringo had 11.5 sacks and 20.5 TFL. The DB's held this D together. When the Jimmy's and the Joes fall off, the X's and O's took a hit
I'm proud of you @LSUDad, finally some fire, some objectivity, a statement. I can look past the fact that this was a completely different tune when Chief was still on staff cause that no longer matters. I cannot wait to see how things go once Miles is gone.
There are about 112 teams that would trade coaches or records with us. I would trade you for one of their fans.
First off, its August 7th. This year, this season, in which CLM will be our head coach like it or not, hasn't even started yet....and here you are, a so-called faithful tiger fan, writing us off. Now, you can make an argument you are being realistic and I can understand that, I am not running around with blinders on.....but I am a Tiger fan through and through and I am excited about this season and believe we have a tremendous amount of potential and upside. If this team finds a QB, we will be extremely dangerous. I am also very excited about the #1 recruiting class (most likely) that CLM and his staff are bringing in next year, and truly believe that the LSU program is on its way back up, not down. If you look at the players in the 2016 class we have already had commit, along with some of the players (namely defensive) we are short listed to snag, we are looking at one of the greatest recruiting classes ever put together in college football. Look, I agree with many about CLM's short comings and its on record plenty throughout TF if you do the research, but I see the bright side in this program and understand the #13 ranking when others feel a top 25 is undeserved. Just recently, LSU took a huge hit putting 18 players in the NFL through 2 seasons, and our team was no longer in sync. We lost our entire defense and returned an offense that had a 3,000 yard passer, 1,000 yard rusher and (2) 2,000 yard receivers. Then we lost that crew on offense but started to field a good defense again. If it can come together and get back in sync, LSU will be that 800 lb. gorilla once again, and I truly believe it will be soon. Geaux Tigers
Just being completely honest we could possibly be 6-6 or 7-5. The games I feel good about: 4 ooc games, USC, UF, and MSU. You can flip a coin on the rest of them
Or we could possibly win them all. It's a new team every season. If LSU fields an average QB I don't see one game that they shouldn't win.
