Our Coach has been heavily criticized for the last 4 or 5 days. He said he understands said criticism. He admits costing his team the game. Let me say this again.... Our Coach. He has been trashed and berated all across the country in every way imaginable. He's been mocked and humiliated for Saturday night's epic fubar. Les Miles puts in more time and effort than we can imagine. Deep down in his soul, I bet, he wants to give us exactly what we want: that 14-0 season that ends with a big win, at a major venue, with a crystal trophy on the line. By all accounts, Les Miles is a man of high character and class. He's a typical husband and parent just like many of us. Once in a while, really bad things happen to really good people. From my view, this is exactly what has happened. I also believe this had gone on long enough. We've been heard. Opinions have been expressed. Folks have vented. Now it's time to "let it rest". For those of you who still have ill feelings towards our coach, I'm asking you to consider forgiveness. Miles didn't do it on purpose. He's human just like you and I. We make mistakes all the time. His mistake, however, was in prime time on National TV. We're a nationally renowned fanbase. This is another opportunity to show the world what we're made of. Let's pull together, support our coach, and rally this team! GEAUX TIGERS!!! :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
There are many of great fans for LSU, I would even say the vast majority of LSU fans are great. I think the ones calling for his head are in the minority, and when he succeeds in delivering another :crystal:, those voices will go away....until he loses another game
Amen. Taking criticism and ridicule is part of a coach's job description. That does not and should never extend to family members, just like booing and personal attacks should never happen with players
And I think we might see a different attitude saturday. If not... then we might not be taking gc to a bowl with us. I think Miles knows where things stand, and he knows whats got to be done. I don't think he settles for anything but a TS win.
I am sure the Kumbaya crowd will flame me, but I just don't get how you guys can be ok, and more so, with mediocrity. Dude, this is LSU football. We need to be the best. And accept nothing less! Just like family should not be thrown into the fray, neither should non-football, non-winning anecdotes. Nice guy --- great, if you are winning AND DOING IT RIGHT. If football, especially football on this forum is not about LSU WINNING AND BEING THE BEST, that is truly sad. hwr
