If that was really the case, they would have won last year. I believe many of the "Shula Players" as I mentioned above are long gone and the players that believe in Saban's system are there. Remember there are some true freshmen playing a lot of minutes and really playing well (Mark Ingram, Julio Jones, Donta Hightower lead the pack). I understand the moral of your argument though. :thumb:
Bama fans make it sound like their team is in a unique situation where they have basically built a new team. As if they are mostly underclassmen compared to everyone else. It's as if being undefeated in the SEC just isn't good enough. It's a year earlier than expected. Playing with lots of freshmen. etc etc etc. No idea why they need to emphasize these things. I was just replying to a post. Not making my team "sound" like a team in a unique situation. All I'm trying to do is have a decent football conversation about the game at hand.

Posting how many are on the team tells a person nothing...It's how many are contributing that counts...
Julio Jones- Speaks for himself with 444yds and 4 TD's. Mark Ingram- Hard runner. 6 TD's on the year to go along with 5.1ypc. Dont'a Hightower- Explosive back there alongside Rolando McClain. Starting. Marquis Maze- RSF that has great speed. Plays very well on special teams. Has 1 TD catch on the year. Brad Smelley- Chris Smelley's brother plays TE. Was going to RS but Saban and parents agreed to take it off because he was playing so well in practice. Has 2 catches for 24 yards but one of those was a big 3rd down conversion against Ole Miss for 16 yards. Kareem Jackson- Very good corner that won the starting spot last year as a freshman and has kept it. 1 INT on the year. Josh Chapman and Terrance Cody- Both sophomores that are excellent NG's. Chapman is big and strong. Cody...well, you know what he can do. Obviously the first 3 are major contributors...
That "playing true freshmen" business started with the media and it's spread to the fans. We would be seeing the same thing from Tiger fans. Spon on assessment, btw, RE.
