I do not disagree that FSU is good, they are. But, the #2 team in the country???? No way. I think that logic says you have to give teams from other conferences a chance to compete, period. Therefore, teams from other conferences will get the nod in the top 4 for the playoffs. But, if rankings are all basically an eye test anyway.........right? Well, I watch a ton of college football from all conferences, and my eye test albeit biased, tells me that the top 4 teams reside in the SEC. Just sayin....
I'd also like to add that OU is #17 despite having a worse resume. But it's okay because SEC bias totally exists and doesn't have any grounding in reality.
FSU isn't nearly as impressive as they were last year. If they were in the PAC 12 they would lose 2 games and if they were in the SEC they would lose 3 or 4
If you truly want to pick the 4 best teams you don't have to give any conferences teams shit. Lets just give Ohio State and Baylor trophies just for being good sports like they would in the third grade.
I agree, being a conference champion of a terrible conference shouldn't mean anything, it should be the "4 BEST teams" - Period. Miss St. Ole Miss. Auburn Alabama Georgia Now, we are only half way through the season, but I am extremely curious to hear an argument not putting at least 3 of these 5 teams (above) in as the best 4. And if LSU wins out, add their asses to that list too. As for FSU, they beat Notre Dame, Notre Dame who has beat???? Stanford maybe? 3 loss Stanford by a FG at home? Not buying any Irish pot luck either..... FSU hasn't proved to be better than any of the 5 teams above in my eyes to be honest.
