so i was looking for a little more insight about this 6'6" 243lb baby Jamarcus Russell. goes by the name D.C. Jefferson. From Winter Haven, FL.

i heard he visited LSUs campus. is he going to be a senior? is he really interested in LSU?

Jefferson is a three star prospect and rated the No. 17 dual-threat quarterback in the nation by Rivals.com. As a junior he passed for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns while rushing for 350 yards and three more scores. He hopes to put the ball in the air more as a senior.

He enjoyed the visit but hasn't named a leader. He's finished with visits for the summer but plans to make some later......including LSU. Auburn, Rutgers, Tennessee, Central Florida and Iowa State are also in the mix.

I'm going to move this to the Recruiting Forum. :thumb:

It appears that he's the #1 QB on our board & he does like us.

So we will take him even though we just received a verbal from another QB?

DS is No.1, Jordan Jefferson and D. Thomas are the guys in the mix for the classes No.2 QB spot.

D.C. was recently rated (by Rivals gurus) as one of the top 5 strongest arms in this class but needs some work on his release.

Hmmm, well. Is this guy the real deal or is he being hyped as a project type player in a Russell mold? I'd rather just take a diamond-in-the-rough and polish him into a diamon rather than try to force a diamond out of an emerald.

Thanks Parso. Pretty accurate arm but I can see where a little tweaking of his mechanics could make him even stronger. Just setting his feet correctly and a stronger follow thru would put a lot more zip on the ball.
