I'd be happy to see our passing game get back to what it was towards the end of the '06 season...

yep, were are overdue for another 3,000 yard passing season. we've only had 4 in LSU history:

    2000
    2001 -- 3,578 -- Rohan Davey to Reed/Clayton/Myers/Royal
    2002
    2003 -- 3,257 -- Matt Mauck to Clayton/Henderson/Green/Edwards
    2004
    2005
    2006 -- 3,272 -- JaMarcus Russell to Bowe/Doucet/Davis/Dickson
    2007 -- 3,154 -- Matt Flynn to Doucet/LaFell/Byrd/Dickson
    2008
    2009
    2010
    2011
2012 -- ??? -- The Mettsiah to OBJ/Shep/???/Clement -- with following candidates to step up: Boone, Landry, Wright, Fobbs, Williams, Turner, Dural, Johnson, Holmes

That is my hope as well.

However, the week of practices leading up to the All-star game he also had issues and didn't see the field much. QBs weren't a problem there but maybe a slump after dealing with QB issues all year.

I think he has a chance to be a great one as he develops. He was a big play machine earlier in his HS days. In college he will have to become more of a possession type WR IMO. Doesn't have elite speed and fairly tall.

Interesting. I wonder if the Patrick Peterson pedigree caused him to be a little overrated at first...
