I'm going to be in *that* evil area of Texas that is overwhelmed by Longhorn and Aggie Fans the day of the Auburn game and am *hoping* the CBS station(s) in that area will carry the LSU game (I have my daughter checking her DISH 'guide'). If it is shown over there are there any local places to hang out, have a drink (or many) and watch the game with fellow Tiger Fans? Or am I better off sofa-spudding at my daughter's house? If it's not broadcast in that area I'll have to watch on a netbook via cbssports.com or justintv.
I went to Shoal Creek Saloon in Austin, TX for one of the games this season. It is the LSU Alumni bar in that city and they had fair beer prices and good food.
Awesome! Thanks StaceyO. I couldn't find that info anywhere (and I'm *always* scared of the 'regional card' being an issue) Can I *assume* the Arkansas game is national as well? I'll be in Seattle for that one =S (yeah, I miss the hubs and need a break from all this 'man-cave' stuff that's been going on here).
If you get a chance go eat at Rudy's Bar-b-Q in Round Rock. Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q | Real Texas Bar-B-Q® 2400 North IH-35 Round Rock, TX 78681 Phone: 512-244-2936 Fax: 512-244-0539 Hours: Mon–Thurs 6:00AM-9:30PM Fri-Sat 6:00AM-10:00PM Sun 7:00AM-9:30PM
Lived in Austin for 3 years Shoal Creek would be your best option if you want to be among fans (food is ok at best) 2nd best option is probably Pluckers
