If he transfers, can play right away. Some may remember Derek Edinburgh another former LSU OL, 6'8" 330#'s, he left and is now the starting ORT for La Tech. He was highly rated in the same class as Hawkins, that class had Hawk the lowest rated OL, and now he is your starting OLT. With a good year at the position, I could see Hawk going in the first two rounds of next years draft. I told a scout that I think Hawk is the most athletic on this years starting OL and he agrees. To add, La Tech will play at Rice this year, they should be 1 and 2 in CUSA West, by years end. I plan to be at that game on Oct 30th. That's a Friday night game sure to be on TV.
FYI LSUSports.Net has the true heights and weights from today. Take a look at the OL and DE's some may surprise
Looks like a few fat boys on the O-line. Those 320-350 pound linemen don't move very fast. I can't see Boutte being a pulling guard at 342. And they list Fournette at 230, same as last year. In the spring there was much talk from Les that he had dropped 10 pounds and was "lighter, stronger, faster." Harris is 18 pounds heavier. Defensive ends look tall and lean. Linebacker size. Sure hope we have some run-stuffers at tackle.
Only reason I didnt accept was because I didnt want to take your money. I wanted you to commit given harris was the supposed clear frontrunner. Now you know Jennings is starting dont you. keep your 100 bucks and consider me the nice guy. It was free money however.
A few names I saw that have moved: Both Teuhema brothers weight. George Brown is 6'7" Both Key and Washington have added weight Clapp added a few Beckwith Magee dropped from 366 Dillion Gordon? 300. Shipley, another 300# TE?
