    The Daily Home - Man arrested for poisoning Auburn

    I think 5 years in prison is about right.

    He called into the Finebaum radio program and confessed to it (actually bragged about it) after Finebaum pissed him off about some things that the old man said Auburn fans had done disrespecting Bear Bryant (Finebaum said they were bunk).

    The official affidavit is out charging Updyke with Criminal Mischief in the first degree. (Causing greater than $2500 worth of damage) In Alabama this is a low grade felony. The guidelines are maximum sentence of 10 years, minimum of a year and a day, maximum fine of $5000.

    This is not spray painting.....but I agree, now that I have time to think....let him go...."how can he live in Ala without the fear that someone as stupid as he, will not take revenge?" At 62 yrs old, do you really uproot your life....can you afford to?
