In Lacy's case, as I recall, there were grade issues. He wanted to go to LSU. Bama somehow, creatively, figured out a way to get him in.

 

He couldn't even spell his own name, but somehow managed to qualify at Bama.

 

We have lost out on quite a few we have gone after, Prescott, Robinson, Noel, Collins, and Collins brother stand out in my mind. Trovon Reed and the other Robinson that went to Auburn also. But we manage to steal kids from Texas, Florida, hell Ohio, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas, but no one ever talks about how Les stole those guys, it's always about how everyone else steals em from under Les' nose.

 

Good point. Plus, not every kid from Louisiana wants to stay in Louisiana.

Tough loss @TCUTiger what a game that was. However how nice is it to know that the 2 best teams in Texas are from Waco and Funky Town Fort Worth, not Bryan and Austin.

This is always a factor in recruiting. Some guys just don't want to stay at home.
