What Weisguy and his Domer education fails to grasp is that USC HAS to schedule tough non-conference opponents to bolster their SOS because their conference games are a such a joke. Conversely, SEC teams do schedule alot of OOC cupcakes because their conference schedule is so brutal. They could face 5 or 6 ranked opponents in conference alone, not to mention that 2-3 of these could be Top 10 teams. NO ONE could survive an SEC schedule AND a tough non-conference schedule. That said, I do think SEC teams should try and schedule more bottom dwellers from BCS conferences instead of the directional schools. The problem is, those teams would want a home/home, while directional schools just want the paycheck. No SEC school wants to lose the revenue of a home/home with a BCS bottom dweller versus a team willing to come to your place year after year for a fat check.
Clear split between Utah & Au. Give em both rings. Maybe not the same team but Auburn got used like a whippin boy in its home and home with SC. Gotta count for something.
No it doesn't. Has no bearing whatsoever. And we didn't get "used like a whippin boy" in 2002. We barely lost a closely contested game in 2002 in the Coliseum. Anyways, here is why previous results have no bearing on the next year. We got crushed by UGA in 2003 and then crushed them in 2004. We got crushed by LSU in 2003 and beat them in 2004. We got beat by Ole Miss in 2003 and then beat them in 2004.
