I don't really think what Cam did was bad at all. His reaction was kind of stupid but all he did was throw a hot laptop out of a window when the police came. That was stupid, but if someone came up to you and said they had a nice laptop for sale for 100 bucks, would you buy it? Especially if you are a student with no laptop?
Most were team rules violations, not crimes. Perrilloux was only charged once for attempting to enter a casino with his brother's ID . . . a misdemeanor summons, he was not even held.
Just three years ago, you dismissed three players in one day. One was for second-degree battery and the other two were because they were charged with burglary. But again, the point isn't that LSU tolerates criminal behavior, it's just that criticizing Auburn for having a kid on its team who had the charges dropped for something that turned out to be minor to begin with is dumb considering there have been a few issues you've had to iron out too and you offered a scholly to a QB who'd been convicted of sexual battery.
This is ALL Stupid and really has NOTHING to do with saturday's game. I am shouting at all parties involved
Les dismissed 5 offensive linemen and a quarterback in 2006-2007 which resulted in down years in 2008 and 2009. How could it be? LSU dismisses players for criminal behavior. That's my point. Well, I didn't criticize the kid, all teams have problem children. I just responded to your criticism of LSU players.
Well, my point wasn't really to criticize LSU players or LSU's recruitment of the former UGA QB either. It was just to put them forth as examples of the sort of thing one could criticize if you're going to open up such a discussion about Cam Newton. At any rate, I agree with others here...this whole conversation is stupid. I just couldn't let the original post go unanswered. Something that lacking in both logic and fact had to be addressed.
I'm glad most people liked it. My point wasn't really to argue what Newton did or didn't do or anything. I guess as a student I don't really care how innocent he is. If I knew enough people and the game was at TS, I'm organizing everyone go get a pair of handcuffs and dangle them when they are pinned back near the student section. Which reminds me that it sucks I wasn't here for Tennessee last year(basketball), and they don't play here this year for basketball. You could go back and forth all day long if you want to about arrests and stuff. That's what the Fulmer cup is for.
