Couldn't there be more than 1?

Ethics don't come in to this.

Apparently they all do, in each their own fashion. My point is that a true religion could not allow for the existence of false religions, so it is likely that all of them are false. It does not follow that God must be false, only that some human's God Concept is false. God may not require worship from us at all or even care what we believe or have any intention whatsoever of enlightening us . . . as if we could possibly comprehend what a universe-managing Diety contemplates anyway.

Human action has great value to human beings. It is a colossal assumption and presumption to expect that The One God is much concerned with the actions of a single tribe of a single species on a single planet circling one of 10 billion trillion existing stars. What hubris.

Of course. But this precludes either of them from being true.

Why is that? There could have always been 2 or more. Or one could have created the other that was identical. Or even separate Gods for separate purposes.

You can't put parameters around God. Not to mention God doesn't have to be good.

no $hit. exactly what else do you think we're doing in this thread? but, hey, if we've gotten to the point where we will talk about the existence of a god then everything is fair game.

One true religion requires one true God to the exclusion of all others.

You have lost the thread of my comment which was about true religion.

Of course I can. Logic is logic.

Who says that he must? Not I.

You are not arguing the point of true religion any more, just trying to argue.

You are defining the argument to support your conclusion.

Well obviously I don't agree with your definition thus I don't agree with your conclusion.

i dont understand why not. there can be infinite religions, and only one of them true.

in fact we have that now, there are tons of dumb religions, but sourdoughman and the christians have found the correct one.
