LINK: Nigeria banker fears son is alleged plane attacker - Yahoo! News

will someone please explain to me why a man on a terrorist watch list was let on the mother f*cking plane to begin with? why even bother to have the freaking list?

i get my ass jumped at airport security for having a tiny tube of lip gloss in my purse, yet a man with suspected terrorist ties apparently has no problem.

this does not inspire confidence in the "system".

Because to treat the m-f'er the way he should have been treated would have been "profiling". Can't have that, can we?

thats the anwer i would have given, but didnt want to get!

petite blondes in heels should have their carry-on turned upside down and searched thoroughly. but people with known terrorist ties they turn a blind eye to, and leave it up to passengers to jump the guy. random passengers have more sense and cajones than the airlines or govt. :cuss:

Just goes to show that no amount of security is perfect. The guy was not on a watch list but had been flagged for a closer look in the past. He also originated outside of the US so security in other countries is a bit suspect in some cases.

    me too.

and it was a u.s. airline. i thought the airlines screened by name on ticket purchases against these lists. ive read stories of people having similar names and not being able to purchase a ticket or let on a plane.

That's right, I forgot that they don't have an army, navy or air force. Nothing to worry about, everyone back on the plane.

I wonder what he would say about al qaeda if his family had been on that plane?

Looks like Obama's new strategy to be friends with the rest of the world and apologize for all our transgressions isn't working.
Just maybe that dumb cowboy was smarter than Obama, strategy then after all he didn't need a teleprompter either.
