Just got in, spent time at Trivia (Paradise South of the Border), our group took second place. 2 pt. out. Then ended on the rooftop at Pure's in Woodstock. Food, Booze and fun.....:geaux:
Walking around last night, we ran across a line that was, literally, 5,000 people deep. The line was speckled with people dressed as Ghostbusters, Star Wars characters, wizards and warlocks and shiit and the rest were just dressed like a bunch of dungeons and dragons dorks. We walked the length of the line and they looked at me and my girlfriend (she's really hot, btw) like WE were the freaks. Pretty entertaining.
Actually, I saw 2 relatively hot chicks standing in that line.....I guess I use the word "hot" subjectively. Rumor has it that there will be a march today of 5,000 Storm Troopers through the streets of downtown ATL. opcorn:
man, i had to google this, this dragon con... i'm actually slightly relieved that i am not in atlanta now. well, not really, but i think i will just keep telling myself that. :hihi:
The 501st. It is a pretty awesome thing to see. Dude, I kid you not Dragon Con is probably the most awesome non SEC Championship Game thing in Atlanta. I am into all that sci fi stuff, but the degree these mega dorks carry it to is beyond belief. It is also a good place to unload all your childhood toys on some dude who will pay you 15 bucks for your He-man.
