12 players from Arkansas? I'm picking the Hogs to win the SEC. Anybody with me on this?:dis::nope::insane: I didn't think so.
Athlon doesn't have Arkansas as the favorite to win the SEC. the team they project to win the SEC is Alabama (the team with the 7 first teamers to Arkansas' 4). they project Alabama to go undefeated, Georgia to go 7-1, and three teams to go 6-2 (Arkansas, LSU, Florida) Athlon's 2011 SEC Predictions | AthlonSports.com
I'm okay with the list. We have alot of talent, but that doesn't mean any individual player on another team isn't better at certain positions. I think Montgomery will be 1st team at the end of the year, but he only played half of the season last year. Mathieu could be 1st team. It depends on how he does at full-time CB. He might have a tough time being 1st team defense if he plays mostly at nickel back, even if he wreaks havoc again.
who cares! we dont send 4 players in the first round either like alawonderfulbama! let them love on bama and arkansas then when we stomp oregons tail with that big lsu oline then the whole country can see the tiger is uh hungry this year! ps, hows chris tolliver doing?
I GUESS IM A ROOKIE LOL! WELL GLAD TO BE WITH MY FELLOW TIGER DIE HARDS EVEN THOUGH THIS DESERT IS H AS -ELL!
:geauxtige:champs:Alabama fans will soon find out that having a great qb under center means everything! i just dont see aj mccarron or even phil simms coming anywhere close to greg mcelroy! ive watched Lsu Alabama replays at least 25 times and some of the throws that kid made were incredible! so if vegas has bama as a 7 pt favorite then ill be happy to take the money! lsu will put a lot of players on the all sec AT THE END OF THE YEAR!
This is awesome!!!!! Complete disrespect. I love it!!! Watch how many are on there when the season is over.
I mean it is what it is. Sure we're loaded, but looking at that list, the only debates I would make would be in the secondary. Aside from Gilmore and Barron, the other CB and S spots are manned by oft-burned players. Kirkpatrick should be great before he's done, but I don't think he did anything last year that would warrant him being over say...Claiborne or Mathieu. But that's easily up for debate. I don't really have a problem with this list.
I'm fine with it, we don't have any already established stars coming back other than probably Randle, and it's hard to argue he deserves it over Jeffrey or Childs, both of whom were crazy productive last year. Most of our guys still have their break out year ahead of them. All of our guys are talented as hell but that doesn't necessarily mean they've gotten the nation's attention yet. All in due time though. All in due time.
