That's what I'm assuming. It may be wrong, but Mett has experience, and from the glimpses I've seen with him playing at LSU is that he has a VERY good arm and is quick to make decisions. :geauxtige
Nah, we still keep in touch. The USC forum I used to post on was changed to some ESPN one, I think it was. I just didn't follow the crowd. I think that's the 4th bd change that bunch went through. Plus, as I'd said earlier, they were okay when USC and LSU were arguably tit for tat - and I acknowledged the strengths USC had at that time. After the sanctions and also LSU pulling out so far ahead, I found most to be less objective - as most are here, also. Difference being, as a visitor, I just didn't enjoy it anymore so I figured I was better off putting up with red's love for Obama and LaSalle's pot smoking. I can imagine it's at an all-time since two SEC teams are in the big dance. :hihi:
Me too. We've seen some pretty rough QB play for a few years before this year (and it's the running game and D that are carrying the team now.) Hope RR comes back too and Clement, OBJ (he's impressive), and the other WRs improve over the off season. :geauxtige
The Pac-Crap should bring Boise St. into the conference to get a true test every year. IMO USC can play because they recruit yet the coaching of Little Kiff is still out. I'm sure lucky for him he has Daddy. Regardless if they had been in the SEC even during the Carrol years they would have won plenty of games and probably a NC but those undefeated years constantly would never have happened, period. JMO
When they don't know who is going pro from what team, preseason rankings are a joke. At least wait for the NFL draft
I don't think Boise state wants to be in a big boy conference. They could go to the big least and have an auto qualifying bid to a bcs bowl but that would even be a big step up in competition. I really don't understand them. They cry about being left out of bcs bowls but refuse to move up in competition. They would rather be at the top of the chit list than in the middle of the A-list I guess. They won't get respect until they move conferences. My .02.
USC, Stanford, Cal, UCLA, and Washington are snobbish. As an institution, as a university, Boise State does not stack up, the PAC never considered them for expansion.
Boise plays schools like Louisiana tech. Tech has probably 1/4 of lsu's attentance and no where near the money. Boise state out classes them. That's the schools they play. They can nut up and play one good team a year but can't maintain that level throughout the year. Mississippi state or vandy would destroy every team in that conference. So would ucla most likely. I don't really understand why Boise doesn't move into a better conference. Now would be the perfect time. With all the teams skipping around they probably could get in the big whatever or big least conference. I think with their qb leaving they don't have the confidence needed to make the move. Why wouldn't a team want to be in an auto qualifying conference I don't know.
