I FK-ING WARNED YOU :hihi: 2. USC – Will he or won’t he? That’s the question surrounding quarterback Matt Barkley. If the junior decides to enter the NFL Draft, the Trojans will tumble in our next release of a very early preseason top 25. However, should Barkley and left tackle Matt Kalil decide to return for their senior year, it could be a special season for USC. And if both players return, the Trojans may overtake LSU for the No. 1 spot. 3. Oregon – The Ducks have claimed the Pac-12 title for three consecutive seasons and could be in line for a fourth. If Matt Barkley returns to USC, Oregon will likely be picked just a couple of spots behind the Trojans in preseason polls. Should Barkley leave, the Ducks will likely be in the top three of many preseason polls. Running back LaMichael James is likely leaving for the NFL, but replacements Kenjon Barner and De’Anthony Thomas are more than capable of keeping this offense among the best in the nation. I want these basstids from USC delivered on a plate to LSU in Miami next Jan. # 1 ranked, Heisman for Barkley & Outland award for IGOR Khalil ... I want to see Barkley's spine ripped from his fk-ing body and I wanna watch him twitch until he dies on the spot while LSU hangs fifty on these pricks and silences their azzes 4-ever! ... As a matter of fact, I shall give special offerings of blood, wine and flesh to the Great Football Gods so that this too shall come to pass!
Athlon = worthless rag in love w/Bama Zero preseason LSU picks for All-SEC team ... Let them glorify USC!!!
Ramah, you're one of a kind and it's fun as hell to read your post. You make me lmao all the time and I bet you kill rival posters trolling this board.
I’m no USC fan and sure don’t like Kiffin, but if their quarterback comes back, they will be a top five team in 2012. Giving the devil his due, USC did come on strong the end of this season.
Give it all to them ... Feed the USC devils and breaker of NCAA rules Feed them with press until their West Coast skulls are exalted and ready to explode! We want it all in 2012 for USC! A heisman award ... An outland trophy ... Let them come to Miami exalted! We shall watch and be silent ... a prayer of truth shall geaux to the football gods from Ramah! My Football Gods watching from the heavens Hear my call and come to my Gridiron Battles We praise you for our VICTORY on Saturdays We are humbled servants bound to YOUR will Give us VICTORY this day and let us face Evil Allow us to eviscerate all our gridiron enemies We shall show them no mercy in honor of YOU We shall never stray from the righteous paths And we shall never exalt ourselves above YOU To those who would exalt themselves, we say They will reap sorrow for what they have sown
They still have recruiting sanctions don't they? They won't be as good next season even though they won't go up against any thing resembling a defense. This is typical sports media condom love.
USC has been appealing the sanctions and up until now has not felt any real impact. Rival’s has ranked their last three years recruiting as: > 2011: 4th with 30 recruits (3.47 Avg Stars) > 2010: 1st with 20 recruits (4.20 Avg Stars) > 2009: 4th with 19 recruits (3.89 Avg Stars) However, even though they are well stock-piled, now with their appeal denied, the sanctions will begin to go into affect. For 2012, Rivals currently shows them 23rd with only nine recruits, but these nine have an average star ranking of 3.89 Some are arguing that USC, even with the sanctions will be able to attract top talent and the sanctions, if they hurt, will “ONLY” hurt USC’s depth. See… USC Football Recruiting: How Will Sanctions Affect Trojans Down the Road? | Bleacher Report Even without following USC, living in Los Angeles, I have heard that USC has lost some top talent that they thought they had tied up. Looking at LSU this year, we all know how important depth can be and I can’t help but to think that the sanctions will have some impact, but probably not so much in 2012, especially if their quarter-back returns.
I am not sure about all the specifics but seem to remember the cumulative effect being what was going to get them. In other words, I think you're right in your thinking that they'll be in trouble in the long run and well after the sanctions are lifted since limited scholarships don't hurt immediately, per se. After 3 years of reduced scholarships are lifted, and they are again allowed 85, you can see how it will take a couple of years to build back up that depth. I don't get all the USC concern, we're light years ahead of them imo.
No concern --- Just trying to show that Athlon’s 2012 projected ranking of USC at #2 --- Behind #1, LSU is not out of line. In fact, I would love to see LSU / USC finish one and two for 2012.
