I think it is a good idea and I think it is a must for Non-conference games. The Alabama and UGA game will not be over-sold.

Test it out this year and then expand it to SEC games next year.

    Thoughts???

What an embarrassment. Today's student body has no recollection of the bad old days of the 90's, and certainly not of decades before that when LSU was not known nationally like they are today. Our rampant and sustained success has spoiled them.

I know television has contributed to this but it still rankles me that anyone would have a ticket and not give it to someone that wanted it.(like20-50,000 people outside the stadium!) If overselling works, I'm all for it.

There is no need to resell for the public. They actually show up or take the time to sell them to people who will.

Even worse, almost half the students leave shortly after halftime if LSU is ahead by two scores. It's embarrassing.

That did NOT happen in the seventies.

    no, it didn't

btw, they oversell the parking passes too, and that pizzes me off!! I showed up an hour before kick off for the Auburn game last year, they wouldn't let me in the lot, with my RESERVED parking pass. I rode down the road, couldn't find a spot, came back and demanded to be let in. They let me in and I sorta parked where there wasn't a spot. But hey, I paid for the pass.

Is it really neccassary to oversell reserved parking spots??

They did start putting the students name on their tickets a few years ago and they were the only ones that could use them. I think last year they allowed them to upgrade student tickets to non student tickets for a fee. I'm not exactly sure, maybe a student poster would know.

That is pretty bad. If I buy a parking pass I should be able to show up whenever the hell I want. That's kind of the point of having a pass for most people with kids and elderly Tiger Fans.

I work with a guy that has two kids in BR. From my understanding the student ticket package is included as part of tuition or something like that. Anyway, he found out his kids either weren't going to games (like La Tech, North Texas etc.) or either leaving before halftime. He didn't renew their student tickets this season. He told me that he's not paying for tickets that are being wasted.
