Absolute total bullchit. You just make up nonsense and ask us to believe it. Atheism means "without belief IN GOD". Period.

    From Dictionary.com

    the·ism –noun

    1. the belief in one god as the creator and ruler of the universe, without rejection of revelation (distinguished from deism).

    2. belief in the existence of a god or gods (opposed to atheism).

bolding god doesnt mean the part about the belief isnt there, sparky.

i am sure you are aware of how simple sentence structure works, the word without is referring to the belief, not god.

theism is a belief system. words that end in ism, except jism, generally are.

you are explaining back to my why you are wrong, it is weird really.

You simply ignored the definition I just posted, as usual. That is starting to piss me off.

Look, THEISM is a belief in god, not a simple belief, Gilligan. You cannot argue your way out of this fundamental error in your logic.

You will keep making posts because of your inane need to post last but I will destroy them one by one and force you to become more ridiculous with each one.

i know, i was refuting what you said earlier:

"The word atheist means without God" - red

thats isnt what it means.and apparently we know that now.

i guess you just made a mistake and you have corrected it. the distinction is important, and now you are making it correctly, and agreeing with me. when i ask you if you are atheist or a believer, i am not asking you if you are with god or whatever, or if god exists, i already know the answer to that one without your input. i am asking if you are dumb enough to believe in god, if you have belief.

atheism and theism are statements about belief, not about god.

and of yourse the question "do you believe?" is a yes or no question, so agnosticism is not necessary.

the question "does god exist?" is an entirely different question.

you just are not listening. you asserted the following:

"The word atheist means without God"

i told it doesn't, i was right, you didnt read what i said, and you repeated back to me what i just told you. there is a huge difference between "without god" and "without belief in god". if you understand that now, then congrats.

so now can you understand that when a person states that they are atheist,, they are not stating that god doesnt exist, they are stating that they do not beleive he does.

because again, an atheist is not claiming that god does not exist, he is claiming he doesnt believe in him, which is something you apparently are unwilling to grok.

it would be stupid to ask someone if god exists. you only ask them if they believe/have faith. and they either do or they dont. for them to answer "well i dunno if god exists or not" is another way of saying you dont believe in him. if you believed in him you wouldnt say you dunno if he exists.

again, agnostic is basically a way of saying you dont understand the question or you want to take the way out that you think is moderate and inoffensive. in your case i think it is that you dont understand the question.

they know more because they so desparately want to believe in big daddy, they research and search for the hook to no avail.

they subconsiously hate their reasoning that has them isolated in a meaningless existence in an uncaring, random universe.

You are dishonest, repetitious, obdurate, and unworthy of debating any further. You just get a boner from making the last post. Go for it, Onan.

They must have had to look long and hard to find people that stupid. I am a Catholic and believe me any "Catholic" that thinks the Eucharist merely symbolizes the body and blood of Christ probably has received little or no Catholic education and has not stepped foot in a Catholic church since it celebrated mass in Latin.
