Re: Morris Claiborne Commits Wow. ESPN wasn't kidding when they wrote: "This guy is a smooth, fluid athlete with great speed and change-of-direction skills. ... The trait that stands out about Claiborne the most is his silky smooth movements-- there is little-to-no wasted movement when he changes directions, plants or gears down. He can hit top gear in a hurry ... At times when he is running it looks effortless as if he is just gliding."
Re: Morris Claiborne Commits Claiborne moves up in the Rivals rankings: From 2-star, 5.4 Rating, no position ranking To 3-star, 5.6 Rating, #58 ATH Compare to Pat White in 2004: 3-star, 5.5 Rating, #55 ATH (link)
Re: Morris Claiborne Commits I could not have said it any better blindside this kid may turn out to be one of the best in this class. I believe had he played at evangel he would have really been a big time recruit. i watched him all year. he has currently been working out with some arena ball players in this area and they say this kid is the real deal.....they think lsu should play him in the slot some but everyone pretty much see's him at corner his feet, hips, and hands are too good to put him anywhere else....i would like to see him with the ball in hands...think four reciever sets he and russell in the slots and rr and lafell out wide....
He's on board :thumb: http://www.shreveporttimes.com/article/20090204/SPORTS0101/90204019&referrer=FRONTPAGECAROUSEL
Says he would be interested in playing basketball at LSU too. Any chance of that happening? Is he any good.
"LSU was my dream school,'' Claiborne said. "I think we can win another national championship in the next two years.'' Fair Park High School's Morris Clairborne signed his national letter-of-intent to play NCAA college football at LSU as his mother Opal Claiborne, left, applaudes Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009 in Shreveport, La.
This kid did it right. Most kids sport a nice suit, a cap, etc. He's got the full-sized banner hanging on the wall, looking like he's already at Tiger Stadium getting ready to suit up.
:geaux: It's great to see kids like this who are really excited and proud to be signing at LSU.:thumb: This kid said it was "his dream" to play at LSU and now he's gonna be making his dream come true. You gotta have kids like this on the team 'cause they really add some additional fire and spirit to the team, IMO. I agree that Mr. Claiborne could be one of the real sleepers in this class and be a real contributor in a couple of years. :LSU231:
