well you're right... it is a horrible move... he has feasted in colorado, but has been an absolute goat everywhere else. I understand bringing him in. just not for 3 years 16 million. That's steep. and as far as the comment about trading burke and others for pitching, that might happen, but it won't be for anyone worth a damn. What team in its right mind will take a .229 hitters?
Sorry bro, but this is one hell of a logical flaw. You're insinuating that we like these teams because they both suck. Of course, you know full well that proximity is the determining factor here. It's the home team, bra. It's easy to pick a successful organization and cling to their coat tails. Anyone can do that. But some of us prefer to continue rooting for the team that we grew up rooting for, not the one that promises us the best chance of a championship somewhere down the line. islstl was pointing out that you made a blanket insult towards LSU fans ('fans here') by speaking disdainfully of their preferences. Making detrimental comments about an organization is fine. Doing the same about the fans of those teams, for the sheer fact that they support said organizations, is not. Further, it makes no sense to imply that fans of a successful program (LSU) support two professional teams that aren't as successful for the mere fact that they suck. Should I really have to explain this?
way to get all scientific about something that I was just poking fun at Islstl about. close the soap-box and take the panties out of the wad. I was just clowning around. I am pretty sure he knows that and can argue on his own, being that he is the one who threw the 1st punch calling the Braves pathetic. Now go to the next courtroom and plead your case there, b/c the defense is at rest here.
That's nice. But I, as a Saints and Astros fan, took issue with it. That's why I deemed my rebuttal necessary. And just for the record, I'm not wearing any panties. This is actually a good point. There really could have been any number of teams that he was referring to when he said 'fans here.' In fact, I'm almost certain that he was talking about all those rival fans the frequent the site.
