Mr. McLane, you can make up all the past 2 years' transgressions with this one signing.

He only commands about 14 mil per year, you'll get him for the next year and a half.

You'll have a starting 3 of Halladay, Oswalt and Rodriguez to give you a legit chance to make hay come playoff time. Berkman is hitting again and the lineup is actually appearing to be a bit dangerous.

    Do it, you idiot.

why would the blue jays just give him to you?

If the Stros didn't have the prospects for Peavy, why would they have enough for a much better pitcher in Halladay?

If the Rangers are smart, they get Halladay.

They've needed a great pitcher since Ryan retired.

Texas becomes a legit contender if they get him.

any close wild card team that gets him will be legit contenders with him.

He's the best pitcher in the game minus Lincecum.

point taken. I go with Halladay just because he has to face the Yankees, Rays and Sox a ton each season.

you can't go wrong with either.

Well the Stros start off the 2nd half of the season in fine style shutting out the best team in the NL (Dodgers) on the road with Wandy starting.

Wandy is coming into his own as a strong #2 starter (would have had him as a #3 starting the season).

Oswalt will most likely kill the 2nd half of the season, as he appears to have done the past few seasons after slow starts.

The problem is no one is really worth anything after that. Moehler has pitched much better the past 2 months, but I don't know if he can hold up. He I guess will be an ok #5 pitcher.

Filling in for #3 and #4 is a problem. I don't trust Hampton and I certainly don't trust Ortiz. He will certainly implode the 2nd half of the season. Paulino hasn't done much at all in his starts.

Time to get Halladay and make a run for the playoffs.

I love Halladay, Oswalt and Rodriguez, come playoff time.

Add to that a very good and deep bullpen with Byrdak, Arias, Sampson, Hawkins and Valverde. One of the deepest bullpens in the majors, actually. Fulchino in long relief to top it all off and he has done well in that role.

I would like to see Sampson start in the place of Ortiz. Move Ortiz into long relief (hide him) and Fulchino can take over Sampson's role.

    I'm not the GM.

This douchebag named Wade gets paid lots of money to make shyt like this happen.

I don't count on him doing anything this July, however.

Astros well on their way to beating the Dodgers again, scoring 6 runs in the first 2 innings off the Dodger ace Billingsley.

Now tied for 2nd in the division, just 3 behind the Cards.
