I'm talking about during the election in 2008 when it first came up. Obama has always challenged these guys to come up with some evidence. He presented his birth certificate back then to back himself up. Only kooks have held onto the issue for this long. This is Obama showing everybody that Trump is a kook. Too much energy is being wasted on this non-issue. Time to move along.

Especially in the 1960s. It reminds me of that deal that sent Dan Rather packing back when Bush II was running. Some forgery about his Nat'l Guard papers or something. This is going to turn out badly for the White House...they were better off not producing a document than to throw that turd out there to have people pour over every inch of it. It's just going to provide more fodder for the bloggers.
I have to agree with SupaFan. Obama looks weak doing this. I don't know why the guy is so obsessed with getting down to street level about things like this. The same thing happened with that cop in Boston, I think it was. Why the hell the President feels the need to speak about a single arrest by some police officer in Boston is a mystery to me. Obama can only lose by engaging with Trump. He should just ignore him and discussing something important. The White House advisors are really doing Obama a disservice. He needs better advice. I doubt Rahm Emmanuel would have suggested doing this. He probably would have called Trump up and told him the White House would see to it that all of Trump's dirty laundry would be front page news if he continues with his birther rants.
For bitch-slapping Trump? This has been going on and on for two years and now Trump was bringing it back into the limelight. It was a distraction to Obama and the nation. Ignoring it didn't make it go away. This will.
hate to say it but i agree with them also. He isn't Sarah Palin he doesn't need to go on the defense for everything that is said about him.
This won't make it go away at all. This will make it worse. Now the bloggers have a document to analyze. They will be going over that thing backwards and forwards. There is a book coming out this summer about the whole birther thing. This topic is going to get talked about more now.....before they could ridicule it as internet blather...now it's on the news.
