Don't go there....if it weren't for a bunch of public school whiners, we wouldn't have 9 state championship games, and ACHS probably wouldn't have even been there.
You think it’s fair public schools can only take kids from their school district but Private schools could have students drive in from 40 miles? My kids went to a Catholic school btw. so not crying.
Not sure what they are going to get after that black eye. If true I wouldn’t coach for that administration not that they are asking btw. I think it was more to it maybe some micromanaging from the top. Seems like others want to control more of the program than what they should be. Feel for his players I’m sure he was loved and played hard for him and each other.
The rules don’t prohibit the Catholic schools as they do public. You honestly don’t see any unfair advantage the Catholic schools had from that? A kid can live in Bunkie but drive to St Ed’s in Eunice, for example- and play. Not that St. Eds is a powerhouse, just an example. They can drive to Laffy too.
Its nobody's fault there are not as many public schools as private schools. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from sports, and one of them is, life isn't always fair. The real ugly truth that no one of influence will admit is that a lot of the problem would go away if the LHSAA would enforce its rules equally. I've heard the stories about some of the private schools getting away with scheduling football players with multiple PE courses during the day, and PE being organized into football practices that don't count against the rules because they are "PE." Its well known that things like this happen, but the LHSAA doesn't have the stones to put a stop to it.
