Its the gambling jones in us. I'd rather risk it then watch him blossom somewhere else and say "Damn, why didn't we keep that dude"
Living in a Dalllas suburb, I have to wonder how could CLM not offer in-state product Dak Prescott before the final month of recruiting? Didn't think he''d be a good fit? Woulda, coulda, shoulda...
You mean you're having a hard time believing that Miles was a poor evaluator of QB talent? What more could he possibly do to prove that he is?
Maybe Alabama strength program are letting their players juice. They bring in a lot of money to the conference no telling what they could get away with.
I blame it more on programming. If a team constantly has guys pushing, and another has to try to keep off their heels, there's obviously a better system somewhere. I've never really thought too high of our offensive line in years. Going back to '08, I think, when Miles wanted ballerinas that were big.
OL is abysmal due to abysmal Recruiting. Pocic and Clapp are the only SEC caliber OL's on the roster. We can do much better than Grimes in the Coaching department as well. Don't like his Zone Blocking scheme. It's too hard to learn and execute in a game. Not good fit for LSU with current bunch of OL's. The WR's can't get open because we have another one of those "Great Recruiters" that Les Miles loves to hire. Dameyune Craig has never played the position he's coaching and you can see that the WR's are not being technically taught the finer aspects of the position. He was a former Auburn QB and they sure didn't try very hard to keep him on their Staff. BTW, I don't want any part of Jimbo Fisher at LSU if he's going to hire Craig to be either OC or QB Coach. You can kiss Brennan goodbye if that were to go down.
When Miles hired Craig that should have been the first major sign that Les wasn't serious about overhauling the offense. A glorified recruiter that earned his stripes in the SEC building relationships. The problem was and is that talent wasn't the problem at LSU. As a position coach the barners had no great interest in begging him not to go to the bayou.
