Man if E would just ran those secret plays or threw to the rb's, tried screens, tried short slant routes, tried running, tried medium curls and outs, tried deep routes, threw to the TE, tried jet sweeps and ran or threw when not expected. Oh wait I watched the game and more importantly analysed the replay we tried all of that. Maybe Bama is a decent football team.
your analysis isn't credible. you say "I" a lot like it means something, but you've demonstrated it does not
Oh it does. Besides if we are exchanging points of view how do I or you leave out I? It's my (as in I) vs your (which is you meaning I) opinion. Enlighten me.
when attempting to make your point, your point of reference is you as the expert....always I see I saw I say I'm right etc etc etc who else shares your view that could support your position? anyone besides you/I? it may help your case if the expert isn't you, because that's what you've presented up till now. I reject the notion that because you played the game in the 60's/70's you are an expert, therefore your position must be taken as fact and everyone else is wrong
Should "I" approach an argument or discussion from your viewpoint? Or do "I" which is me approach it from my (as in I) viewpoint? "I" dont see a way around me being "I" and "I" being you, do you? Football in the 60's and especially the 70's aint that different. It's still blocking and tackling and fundamentals i.e. EXECUTION. For instance the routes WR's run since the 60's and 70's has not changed. There is no magic routes only certain athletes who can fit into offensive schemes where their speed, percision route running, quality of coverage or height fit the position for the routes. Its still outs, hooks, curls, slants, look ins, posts, skinny posts, flys, out and up and flags routes. Screens are kind of new but not really. Jets sweeps are fairly new too but a good defense will shut that down fairly easy. The hole rb's run through has not changed since football began it's still 0 gap over the center, odd numbers through gaps 1 to 7 on the right and 2 to 8 even numbers gaps on the left. If you had the right personnel the wishbone would be devastating. So called "modern" football is a myth. I know yes I said "I" know what E is attempting to do. E's stats don't look good because his QB is new with the team and E has only had 3 months to work with Burrow and get to know him personally, his skills and his limatations think about that. Yes 3 months to get established on a new football team and an SEC West football team and to start the first game of the year in a state he has never been to on a team where he know no one. His recievers had 28 days of practice to get to know him and get the timing down before the first game Sept 2, 2018, think about that 28 freaking days. E's stats don't look good because our rb's although good are not big time SEC backs. There are 5 other teams in the SEC that have better rb's than us plus most are veterans both of ours are not. E's stats don't look good because he likes a 2 tight end set but has only one true TE because the other 2 are out. Do you understand how that limits an offense? E's stats don't look good because as we all know and don't bullshit me on this one our recievers drop too many passes. They have potential but not there yet. Lastly and most importantly E's offense doesn't look good because our OL is not deep, not the most talented, always seems injured and added to that suspensions and attrtion have taken it's toll. If your OL is subpar for whatever reason nothing is easy to do on offense. If you disagree on this one "I" know you are being totally disingenuous. Yes "I" see all this and "I" don't know why it's not obvious to you and others. "I" know "I" am right on this and next years team will prove me right. I dont think you guys understand how much better this team will be with just Burrow having a year to learn and to get familiar with his teammates especially his recievers. I don't think you guys understand how much having an Emery and a Davis will mean to our offense. How much it will help the passing game. I don't you guys understand how much a year will make to improve our OL and recievers. A year to get healthy and add some really good OL's and experience for our WR's. I don't think you guys understand what a positive affect a great recruiting class especially the 2019 class will have on this football team. If we are not a lot better offensively next year I will personally admit to everyone here I was wrong and join the buzzards and jackals calling for a new OC. I don't think that will have to join the buzzards and jackals.
No more analysing from me. My last boring analyses we will know if I am right or wrong next year. Just try your best to not scare off too many recruits please. Going to soar with eagles till then instead of flocking with buzzards.
