What are you talking about? LSU had a horrible reputation for attracting OB's. Miles left O with a QB transfer from Perdue, 2 other QB's who were not SEC timber and we had to take an anorexic 6' 5" beanpole who has potential but not ready. O smartly went out and found Burrow and 2 other walk ons thankfully. What big time QB would take a chance on coming to LSU in 2016 during a coaching change not knowing if O was going to wind up as coach or who was? How fast do you expect things to change? O has had only one true full recruiting year 2017. 2017 was still in flux with having Canada there which his style offense would not attract a great QB. O has already got 1 QB for 2019 class who won the Alabama 5A title and 1 for the 2020 class who is 6' 6" can run and setting records. In the 2019 class we already have the #2 and #8 rb's committed, the #1 cb, the #1 og and may get the #1 dt. Our class is rated #4 and may be higher in the end. This years team was simply not experienced nor talented enough yet to be 12-0 yet we are playing in a major new years day bowl. To expect us to be 11-1 or even 10-2 this year was totally unreasonable yet we almost were 10-2.

I says and I know what I am talking about and I am right. Want it any more bluntly said than that? It's what I see and what I believe. If you want to discuss each point I will. Only 1 point I have time for now no time for more.

So I am wrong that LSU had a horrible reputation for attracting QB's?

I forget two of you bozos can never have an honest discussion.

3000 is the outlier but you know that.

2609 yards (not 2067-it helps to have your facts straight) is Zachs other season with 12 tds and 7 picks. 90th overall in passing.

To put that in perspective Joe Burrow threw for 2500 this year with 12 tds and 4 picks. 80th nationally in passing. If he throws for 110 yards in the bowl game it's gonna be top 5 all time passing seasons at LSU. Passing none other than Zach Mettenberger.

That's not praise it is a damned indictment of our program.

So my original point of sadness around this offense is made again. We need to break the cycle.

10-3 is nice on paper but making the cfp requires a change in philosophy that's held this program back and continues to do so.

Otherwise this groundhog day of Clemson Bama will never end.

Schools dont develop QB's coaches do. Miles used QB's to hand off to RB's not much else. We have no earthly idea what this staff or E can do yet Burow is this staffs only QB that is their not Miles recruit.

And Brennan may turn out to be good it is too early to know he will be a just redshirt sophomore next year . Besides Brennan was recruited by Miles first and under the circumstances QB recruits that cycle were not interested in coming LSU until they could see we were going to seriously going to change our philosophy. O could not afford to not take him that year. O has already got a QB committed for 2019 and 2020.

Once way too early to judge this HC and staff.
