Do you believe? The number 1 team in the nation comes to Death Valley next weekend. The last time a number 1 ranked Florida team came to Death Valley, they left with a broken jaw. Why LSU will win this game.

    1. Jordan Jefferson has proven that he is a leader, and while he is still unpolished, he is very effiecent, and can make plays with his arms and legs. He has to gain more confidence throwing the ball, and getting out quicker.
    2. The offensive line is improving. I think these guys are pissed off, pissed that the fans, and the media keep talking bad about them, and pissed that they get no respect. If they limit penalties, and open up some holes, along with giving JJ time, the Gators are going to get all they want. They are the key to this game, if LSU can work the clock, and keep wear Florida's Defense out by keeping them on the field, and Florida's offense on the sideline as much as possible, LSU will win this game.
    3. R. Shep will throw a touchdown pass in this game, mark it down, we will avenge the jump pass in 06.
    4. The LSU receivers are second to NONE in the country, get them ball, they will make it happen, should be a nice battle against joe haden, jenkins and co.
    5. Charles Scott will never give up, and will carry this team on his back if needed.
    6. Special Teams have been better this year, than any year i can remember. We are covering on punts and kick offs, and other than some bad snaps, this is a great special teams.
    7. Defensive, the Line played great against the run vs. Georgia, and need to continue this against UF. They have to get pressure on whoever is playing quarterback with the front 4. Linebackers are going to be the key on defense. Florida's strength other than Tebow are the backs catching balls, and Aaron Hernandez. Screens, and the Zone Read Option by Tebow are Florida's bread and butter, the Linebackers must continue to play lights out. Chavis has to disguise the the pressure. If Tebow plays he wont be all there in the head, and disguising the pressure could confuse him, and make him call the wrong option after the snap. The secondary should be able to shut Florida's wide receivers down.

    LSU 24
    UF 17

1 more reason, Tebow leaves Death Valley in tears.

    1) Proven that he is a leader...? Maybe. But he has some glaring problems that is holding back the offense too. He doesn't have the touch to make throws when we get to the red zone, no internal clock that says "throw it away!" and he seems to be accurate only when he rolls outside of the pocket. Believe that's why we're running a Pop Warner offense at times. I did like the way he tucked the ball and ran for the big gain in the fourth quarter and his input regarding getting Scott the ball on the winning run shows some leadership. He clearly can get better.

    2) Offensive line seemed to do better in phases, but they're not good enough to execute a power running game in the red zone, to get a couple of feet on fourth down or to reliably protect JJ. Improving, but incomplete.

    3) Let's see Shepard throw a ball before predicting we'll roll the dice against the Florida in what should be a tight game.

    4) and 5) Agree our receiving group as a whole is a strength. Have to clean up the dropped passes though. Agree too that Scott has a big heart and could be hitting his stride.

6)The d-line played the run well, but I think most of the credit should go to the linebackers. The pass rush was abysmal. No sacks again?

You seemed to leave out one important factor, THE TIGER NATION!! Just one more "key difference" in the game! UM says they can "quiet us down" but I for one think he is so wrong....saying that should make the fans much louder than ever before! There's bad blood between the 2 teams already and for Meyer to say that the week before the game was really stupid on his part but, it'll work to our advantage, I think! Here's to one of the loudest saturday nights Death Valley has ever had before! :geaux:

JJ got on a roll yesterday throwing the ball. He missed some early, but in the 4th quarter, he hit a rhythm and I thought he threw the ball with confidence. I think maybe he matured a bit yesterday. He's got a lot of natural ability, when he gets the experience and puts it together, we'll be real happy.

If Tebow does not play, LSU should have an edge at QB. If Tebow plays, Fla. has the edge. And that's the way I see the game. Both teams are well stocked with talent, both pulling in top 5 classes the last few years. Fla. star ratings beat LSU in recruiting by a smidge, lets see if that holds up in the game.

I think the top 2 regular season meetings are LSU/Fla. and Tx./OU, closely followed by LSU/Bama. We are in the thick of things in the SEC, and that puts us in the thick of things nationally.
