Great Article: NOLA.com : LSU offense hits stride because offensive coordinators are clicking What a redemptive year for Lee and Jefferson... Really liked the last part about the relationship between Krags and the QB's.
Great read. Those second half drives were 6-9 minutes in length; the perfect way to break the will of the opponent. :geauxtige
Yeah those second half drives allowed us to (1) impose our will on Tenn, (2) wear them down and (3) keep the clock running. That's classic, pro-style, smash mouth football. I love this team. And kudos to our offensive coaches for their game plan. Glad to hear all of the good stuff about Krags. He's a good man who's had a myriad of personal issues in the last couple of years. It's good to see him happy and doing what he does best. :geaux:
Two back to back drives the likes we never saw all of last season. It was great to see Jefferson direct the 2nd one entirely on his own and gain that much more confidence.
Yep...........some may have missed this one........ LSU's Kragthorpe, family familiar with adversity, illness - USATODAY.com
I think a damn strong QB coach may be more important than an OC; I think it makes Studrawa's job easier.
With both in the box, many times GA, etc. are looking for changes(Formations to defense changes), weakness, injuries, etc. Krags can see these and relay to Studs. T.C. McCartney is working on the field, having 2 OC in the booth is a plus. Remember LSU has 4 former OC's on the staff and 3 DC. I like this staff also the way they have meshed.
