Miles still eyeing quarterback situation - SEC Blog - ESPN Good point here, we have three games at home in a row, though tough we will be favored in all three and this is the time to see if Lee or Jefferson will lead us through the teeth of our schedule.
Good point if it weren't CLM. I read it as JJ is in there unless he ****'s up totally. I understand it in part but the "safe" bet sticking with JJ is really the riskiest imho. I hope JJ remembers what he did in the GT game and get on a roll.:geaux:
In case he's lurking and has forgotten: Passing Att-Cmp-Int Yds TD Long Sack -------------------------------------------- Jo. Jefferson 25-16-0 142 1 25 2 Ke. Williams 1-0-0 0 0 0 0 Brady Dalfrey 1-1-0 21 0 21 0 Totals... 27-17-0 163 1 25 2
That pretty much sums it up for me. In other words "We never want to HAVE to go to a #2 QB going in to a game, but if the situation warrants it we will.".. Honestly, I think Miles is going out of his way to sugar coat things so nothing he says is taken as throwing JJ under the bus. Not to mention he's pretty damned.... hmm.... cryptic anyway. Ya know, it's almost like his statements are written in Chinese, then poorly translated back to English. :hihi: We'll see soon enough I suppose.
Miles is too classy in public and has too much integrity to throw a player under the bus too the media. I am pretty sure if all of the all knowing LSU fans can see what is going on, he probably has a pretty good idea too. I believe he will put the team in the best position to win. I mean c'mon its not like we have drew brees sitting on the bench waiting to come in, and he sees both of these qbs about million more times preparing and playing than any media or fans want to convince themselves of.
I can't be comfortable that is true after fans were screaming for more RS last year and it wasn't til off season he realized- or verbalized- he effed up and should've figured out more ways to get him the ball. That's just one.
Again, I am not defending Miles, but he will not let a sole know what goes on in the locker room or practice field, and he for sure will not say anything negative about any player. Miles will always put it on his shoulders. So, by Miles saying to you that he should have found more ways to get RS the ball, could have very well meant that RS was not ready to play for extended periods last year. For instance, take a look at how well RS picked up the blitz when he was on the field and not getting the ball.
Oh I agree that Miles wouldn't do that. JJ does deserve to be playing because even with the bad night ya can't punish the kid for a W on the road. I think also he's letting the fans know he's paying attention to this issue.
I agree. The kid is trying, I will give him that and Miles is giving him a chance, at his jobs risk, to make things better. After watching the D'line and running game come along, us tiger fans are just waiting on the QB's.... I think 1 of them will step up soon.
