LSU's Jefferson steps up to the challenge - SEC Blog - ESPN It's becoming more and more apparent that JJ and JL were done a disservice, with the QB coaching they have had the last 3 years. Hoping for big things this year for them, and ZM in the future!
Those are all nice things to hear, but until Jefferson turns it on in actual games against top competition, week in and week out, I have to take it with a huge grain of salt.
I'm rooting for the kid. I hope he comes out this fall and lights up defenses and has a great senior season.
I'm pulling for whomever is behind the center. Be it JJ, JL, or ZM. I just want to win games with the best players on the field.
Sure, everybody does. I just think that Jefferson has plateaued already. If he's got the stuff to take it to the next level . . . he's way late showing it. But I'll support him if he starts and plays like an SEC quarterback. Perhaps Mettenberger was overhyped, as Shepard and Lee once were.
EXACTLY!!!!! While it's great to hear him doing so good, you don't win any ball games in April. I believe the coaching change has the ability to make a world of difference but we won't know until late September at the earliest.
