RIP UGA VI, we will miss him.

Yeah, that is correct. The Seiler family breeds bulldogs and UGA always comes from them and the original bloodline. UGA VII should be smaller than UGA VI as they believe the dogs have become too large which is thought to be part of why he died.

Here is a link to an nice article about how he is selected,.

Here is the Wiki for him:

As for John...wow, that was totally out of line, I don't care how much you hate the school and obviously, hate dogs in general. Let me draw a parallel for you that your puny little mind can comprehend. People do not feel bad about this solely because a dog died, it is because of what he symbolized just like Mike for LSU. How would you feel if you came on here last year after Mike V died and I was sitting here posting disparaging comments about him (which I would never do, that kinda crap is really messed up). About how he was just a cat and how I was so happy he was dead and he and your whole fanbase could burn in he!!, etc, etc. You wouldn't like that very much would you?

Sorry for the situation but welcome to the board anyway. Stick around. It will be nice to see a Georgia fan here and gain your perspective on our game this year.:thumb:

that article was hysterical! when i got to the part about a dummy of an auburn player, i was literally laughing out loud. thanks for the link.

it kinda reminds me of when the search was on for a new mike after mike v passed last year. someone on the board (i cant remember who to give credit to) said that we would know when a new mike vi had been selected when we saw the white smoke coming from tiger stadium.

welcome to the board and stick around. we enjoy having opposing fans that are here for good discussion. (just ask deceks.)

Wow...maybe I ought to be glad OM doesn't have a mascot anymore. We always had a student dressed as the Col. Sure would hate for him to step out in front of John's vehicle.

Actually UG had two Uga's on the field for games all 2007 season, Uga VI and his replacement, guess the replacements 'official' role was Pup-in-training. Hope he got some pointers on where to bite more Auburn players.
