Calling Uga Tiger bait is one thing. But posting this crap after his death is another. The Tiger Nation should, more than any other College understand, what it is like to loose a loved mascot and symbol of our School.

JohnLSU, I agree it was uncalled for to poke fun at UGA's death. We didn't take kindly to folks laughing at the passing of Mike V, and that was just a little over a year ago.

I understand that you people love bulldogs very much and so it is understandable that this is such a sensitive issue to you. But let's say Georgia Tech had a live yellowjacket mascot that was loved very much by their fanbase, and the poor little hornet passed away and went to Heaven, and I wrote the same thing about that yellowjacket that I wrote about the bulldog... I'm sure there are probably some emotional hornet lovers out there in the world that would get all oversensitive about it as well. If the hornet lovers showed up on here crying about their hurt feelings, would you people actually care?

its not what the mascot was. its that it was a mascot that was the symbol of their university, just like the mikes are to lsu.

or the buffalo to cu. or the eagle to the aubies. or one of many mascots that represent a university. uga just happens to be a bulldog but is a very ingrained symbol of the university and its pride.

having lost that much loved living symbol of our university in mike v, we know and understand the loss. end of story.

 

I don't buy it. If the poor little buffalo or eagle mascot died, and I wrote the same thing about it that I wrote about the bulldog, I doubt I'd see anybody crying about it.

Okie, I know you love your dog so much you consider it to be your own child. You and I have talked about this before. I am sorry to offend you with my lack of sensitivity with the bulldog (and yes, i read your hysterical comment that you sent me privately about it, and I understand that I caused you a great deal of pain and suffering, and I really am sorry about that). But my comments about the Georgia bulldog has nothing to do with your dog (even if your dog is a bulldog).

 

you can get over yourself now. you did not cause me "a great deal of pain and suffering" and this has nothing to do with my dog or the fact that i love animals. it has everything to do with human decency.
