Quarterback Dontae Aycock of Tampa, Fla., who had given a “secret commitment” to Georgia Tech three weeks ago, had his scholarship offer taken away by the Jackets.
“Auburn called him on Thursday and offered him on Friday,” Chamberlain coach Brian Turner said. “He was told [by Georgia Tech coaches] that if he took the trip [to Auburn over the weekend] the scholarship would be pulled.

Marcus Hall committed to Ohio State on Monday … just one day after returning from an official visit at Tennessee.
Hall (6-5, 300) … rated as the No. 6 offensive lineman prospect in the nation by Rivals.com.
During the weekend, UT lost a commitment from D.T. Shackelford, a linebacker from Decatur, Ala. Shackelford committed to UT in the summer but will sign at Ole Miss instead. Shackelford is ranked as the nation’s No. 16 outside linebacker prospect by Rivals.
