Georgia would be delighted to play anybody in the SECCG, as would any other team.

I'll be honest with you. I don't want no part of Georgia right now. I'd rather take the path of least resistance and put one on Tennessee and make it to the NCG unscathed. BUT....that's just me.

I hope we play the best in the East (which I feel is UG) if/when we make it to the SECC. If we win there, we can handle anything the BCS throws at us.:thumb:

You are correct. I was not thinking clearly and apologize to all those affected by my thoughtless statement.

From a completely selfish standpoint, I want to play anyone OTHER than Georgia in the SECCG.

I will spend the day walking around downtown in search of tickets. If Georgia makes it, tickets will be even harder to come by and much more expensive.

I don't like playing teams 75 miles from their campus on a neutral site. Just ask Illinois, Oklahoma and Notre Dame.

The Cotton Bowl will always go for a team with more traveling fans, regardless of their record.

State will have passionate fans willing to travel to Dallas. Bama will have three or four times as many. Auburn will have twice as many. Even Arkansas will bring more fans.

The only crap that I recall from Bryant-Denny was when the 'Bama fans threw all sorts of garbage down on the Georgia players who were celebrating the overtime win in the corner of the end-zone.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution always runs controversial articles about Georgia just before the annual Georgia - Georgia Tech game. Only problem with the past few years is that Georgia Tech has had little hope of beating Georgia. So, they have to try to stir it up with another team.

I really don't think that Tennessee will lose to either Vandy or Kentucky. Arkansas was really the team that I expected to give them trouble but Houston Nutt once again didn't do squat to adequately prepare Arkansas to play well.

All of the VOL fans that I know in Georgia are strutting around saying that Tennessee will handle LSU.

Yeah, baby. Bring it! If LSU wins out, they'll be ready.

I sincerely think the only folks who can beat this team are themselves. At that point, it won't matter who the other team is - any of them are good enough to take advantage of turnovers and penalties.

But I think that part of the Tigers' season is over.

Georgia doesn't control it's destiny. Tennessee will go to the SECCG from the east. Georgia can just sit back and dream of a bowl to play in, ala BergeGFK's analogy of them to LSU's team in 06.

    The dogs must be frustrated.

LSU is a much better team than Tennessee. We're pretty well matched with Georgia, but trying to be unbiased I still give us the nod.

I think LSU can beat any team that we face from the East in the SECCG, but I'd be a lot more worried about it if it's UGA.

What would worry me about playing Georgia is not just that they are a very good team, but that the game is in Georgia & Richt's ability to get his team up for the big games in the second half of this season. That being said, I really don't see what other tricks he could have up his sleeves if he were to make it...
