Not expecting any commits but I did read that Tre'Davious White...through Thursday at least, shut down every receiver he faced. He was apparently the best cover guy on the field for either squad this week, although several are rated ahead of him.
He had a great day today, playing the entire game and even converting a fake punt that got the west back on the field and they finally scored afterward. He then broke up a long pass attempt to the receiver that ended up being MVP of the game. He was a fingernail away from breaking up the game winning TD after the MVP beat his man. White came off his man, closed fast, and almost stripped the ball. Kid was everywhere. No way he only runs a 4.7 40. Frank Herron also had a good day, recording 2 sacks. Rettig has a nice arm. None of the QBs were great today but the talent was obvious in all of them.
So, Who else is out there that LSU has a realistic shot to get? I see on 247Sports where the coaches have hit the road trying to finish up recruiting.. where they going? huh??
DB Priest Willis JUCO WR Devon Gardner WR Demorea Stringfellow (Washington commit) We are at 25 now but can probably squeeze in a few more if need be but I see 2 at most unless some of the committed guys are worse off grade wise as NSD approaches. Some will say Knemdiche is still a possibility but just don't see it. His teammate CB David Kamara is set to visit. Reuben Foster says LSU is in top 3 but I see UGA or Auburn. Auburn not in top 3 however as of today. LSU may have a spot left and it seems like DE Tim Williams out of Uhigh is trying to get in this class still even though LSU passed. HE just scheduled a visit here. Florida WR Eddie Jackson and DE Tashawn Bower out of NJ (Au commit) have also setup visits. TE Cethan Carter out of Rummel and LB Duke Riley out of John Curtis have been offered greyshirts and the possibility of scholarship if they have some not make it due to grades.
