As the debate rages between the Everything-Will-Be-Fine Camp and the Back-to-the-Hallman-Years Camp, how bout we make predictions for next Friday's game?

As a member of the Mediocrity-for-Foreseeable-Future camp, I predict Arkansas 30, LSU 19.

Just hard to believe the unranked Tigers will be motivated to play on the road the day after Thanksgiving. Chances look good for an LSU mail-in. Plus, Petrino really needs a W.

Personally I think there is a middle ground between the "eveything if fine" group and the "the sky is falling" group.

I think LSU NEEDS to wins this game. Hopefully Miles has them ready to play and we see something special happen.

Let me ask this.......a lose will mean Shreveport? Are are we still in Hot Lanta eather way? Motivation my be gone if a lose does not send us to Shreveport. Not that Shreveport is a bad place. I feel we win Friday.

    LSU 35
    Ark. 31

With all the factors, Arkansas should be licking their chops at the moment.

A team with very little morale.
A team who lost their starting QB (who didn't have much support in the first place)
A team with the worst pass defense in the SEC (OK, second worst ahead of Ole Miss).

Arkansas is second in the SEC in passing offense, remember.

Who will score more? Arkansas passing the ball, or LSU running the ball?

Scott will need a few more yards than the 10 he had yesterday if we are to win this game.

I'm just being realistic...it doesn't look good. The team has had opportunities to bounce back this year and show some pride. They haven't done that.

I'm not going to predict a loss, it just wouldn't feel right, but I sure wouldn't bet on the Tigers on Friday either.

I'll just hope for two more wins and we can limp into the offseason and make some major adjustments.

You know how unbelievable that sounds? When is the last time we were ranked second worst in SEC pass defense? With the talent we supposedly have on the field that is just mind boggling.

While the I-Bowl sucks and is not a even a decent bowl to play in... LSU in the I-Bowl would ensure another watched game in person for me and fairly crappie oppenant facing LSU... kinda win win for me.

For the eleventy billionth time, an SEC team will NOT be appearing in the Independence Bowl (there are not enough bowl eligible teams)

And I still find it amazing that...after this entire season, with the wins/losses LSU has had, that some fans feel that no matter what, LSU will lose to the worst team in the conference on Friday.
