So he left the Weber State(his alma mater) HC job after never coaching a game to return to Arkansas on a 10 month contract. Yes, you could say he is very loyal to the Hogs. And I am sure the Weber State team/staff has a different opinion. At least Arkansas is being consistent in their hiring.

Let's see ... $850,000. for 10 months of work .... I'm reasonably certain that could buy a lot of loyalty from most folks these days ;)

When your ones dominate your twos on both sides of the ball, what does it say about your depth? For Arky, same song. A great coach, with multiple NC, once said, "you are only as good as your last 40." Had BP held that Harley on the pavement, it still would have been meltdown city against the best of the west.

For once, I somewhat agree with you. And the hog nation they saw something special because they basically saw an SEC team destroy what would amount to a sun belt team.

Last season's Arky, wasn't as dominate as the record might suggest. The season was laced with close calls and uncertainties. Ole Miss was up by 17, and faltered late to lose by 5. Win only by 10 against Troy, from the sunbelt. Vandy doesn't fumble, it was over and aTm had them rocking, but having the head coaching that was the equivalent of an Ole Miss staff, stunk up the 4th and lost by 4. Two major beat downs by the dominate teams in their division and 8 and 4 wasn't that far fetched.

Even at 21-5 the last two seasons, how in the world did BP bring in only the 34th ranked recruiting in the nation? That's 5 back of Vandy. It seems high school coaches were never crazy about him and the same may be true of the players.

Completely agree with this post. For a team that was supposed to be so badass, they sure did squeak a lot of lucky wins out their asses.

I don't recall anyone raving about the "dominance" of Arkansas nor have they been commonly referred to as "badass."

Whether you win by 50 points or by one point, a win in the SEC is a well-deserved win. I don't recall anyone offering backhanded compliments about LSU's narrow wins over bama in 2010/11 (24-21, 9-6) I also don't remember anyone saying LSU was less "dominant" or "badass" after those victories

Going 11-2 against a legitimate SEC schedule is worthy of anyone's respect .... unless you're a bama fan

Or perhaps lower expectations has just made you a more sympathetic character?
