We really play with almost what a sense of desperation when we play Florida. It usually works. I'd like to see more of that against Bama. IF they are a little more talented than us, then maybe we need that extra something to get by 'em. The extra down(4th), the extra energy boost from making ballsy calls. Fake punts and/or FGs. Whatever. If we're gonna go down, let's not die will a full chamber. Oh wait...I did just say I was over Bama and on to Arkansas didn't I?

Since moving to Tennessee, I have been stuck in Ole Miss country. There are more OM fans where I live than in Oxford and they are grumbling. As far as R Kansas beating them last week most feel the team stopped playing inspired after the Memphis game. Word is Kmdechi is mailing it in avoiding injury and they say the rest of the D follows his lead so the piggy's scoring like they did is suspect. Also on offense they think Kelly is as Jekyll and Hyde as Bo was last year. No one here was impressed with what the piggy's did last week. That's the Ole Miss comparison.
Now as far as I think that O line they have is impressive and has been since the fat man got there, it was his strength at whisky. A good O line can do good things for you so I hope our D is ready for another physical pounding. I think we have more talent just not sure if we will use it better than we have been. I hope our players realize we still have much to play for and can finish strong. My liver is still killing me from last week so I hope we run away with it.

After seeing the look on the Tiger faces during the Bama game this team needs some serious leadership motivation they will need to pick up their knickers and play this game...I think that Arkie is up to make another statement ..we gotta be motivated
imo when Moore left the game injured that started the mental erosion of last weeks game the pick then sealed it for our O, then of course the insanity run the ball call over and over , they gotta get their heads back in the game as well as the coaching

LSU 19-2 under Miles after a loss. Both losses have come at the hands of Arkansas.

We should be able to run on them. I think the D starts out strong in the 1st and tapers off after that. Maybe we're up 28-13 midway through the 4th and let off the gas a bit the rest of the way. I just want to win. I don't give a damn how ugly it is....

I tend to agree with you. Some part of me wants us to start smoking our remaining opponents so that we can try to get back into the conversation. Realistically, even if we win the remaining games 42-0 each, I don't know that we would have a better chance to get back into the top 4.

We really just have to win. OK State and Baylor play one another, so do Notre Dame and Stanford. Iowa will eventually play somebody (Ohio State in Championship Game) if they don't lose in Lincoln in three weeks. Moo U can upset Bama today as well. Lots of football to be played.

I'm feeling optimistic about today. I think the team is angry and not depressed by the game last week. I look for a much better performance and effort.
I think we will be effective on offense both running and passing. I expect LF7 to get close to 200 and dominate the game.
This will be a bounce back game. Tigers 31-17.

I don't think it will be that simple. Without a Bama loss, Bama is in. The winner of the Big Ten is in barring an absolute shit show of a finish(i.e., two losses for Ohio State, one for Michigan State and Iowa). The winner of the Big 12 is probably in just the same barring a 2-loss winner. That leaves the winner of the Notre Dame and Stanford game for the fourth spot.

I really disagree with the discredit we received for our loss. Stanford's loss is 2x as bad as ours in my opinion, but because it was their first game, they are in a better position. I'll give Notre Dame that their loss is better than ours, but they just haven't played top-10 quality football all year. They will be exposed in the playoff.

Other than those, it's only undefeateds above us, and I can live with that. Iowa will lose like you say; I think Oklahoma State will lose, and likely Baylor too. The problem is that Oklahoma will jump us if they win out. Right now, I think we have to root for a loss from both Notre Dame and Stanford to give us a shot. Then the 4th spot will be up for grabs. Maybe it's not quite as bleak as I originally thought.

We have to score high to beat Arkansas, because their QB will score on us. They have one of the worse pass defenses in the country, so Harris must step up and beat them with the pass. If he is the quarterback of the future, it is time to show it.

    LSU 41, Arkansas 31.
