So true. To be honest LSU has not been ready to play most of their games thus far. Which is again, an issue with Miles. I think LSU wins but it will be another nail biter, but a game LSU should have won more handily.
This game will tell me whether or not we have any leaders on the team. It's time for the players to step up and take some responsibility.
They should lead the team in a mass tweeting session. It's getting close to time for Festivus and the airing of grievances.
What's crazy to me is the way Les bought into the whole "this game is more important than the other games" media mentality. You would never see the midget do that. He would say something like, we are going to prepare for this game like we would prepare for every other game because they are all important. He wouldn't downplay LSU, and he would still give LSU props in areas they deserve it, maybe even some they don't, but he would never say anything about this one meaning more and his players wouldn't either.
You could tell it "meant more" to Bama by the way they played. Saban may not have expressly stated it in the media, but they're actions showed it. Maybe Les' acknowledging it publicly added to his team being tight. We didn't play loose and with much passion it looked like. That's troubling bc Les is all about playing with passion.
In Miles' two worst seasons. I don't see us losing this one. Are there any stats for us losing to Arkansas two years in a row?
We have the better team but we won't be the motivated I would guess. Nor the best game plan. But maybe Les opens it up a bit after another humiliating inexcusable performance vs your only real rival.
