CAN THE REBS PULL THE UPSET?

I know you guys would like to see the upset, but any of you really think they can do it?

I see it as one heck of an uphill battle but doable. I have read all about the Bama defense. I would be lying to say "no problem." But the Rebs have one good defense too. Real tuff against the run and pretty good against the pass.
The Rebs will difinately have to play some good offense. CAN be done. Last year, the Rebs were behind 24-3 at the half. Bama had to hold on to the last play (int against OM) to win. By four, if I remember right.

Their D scares me with Arenis (sp). He's bad. I figure, ONE heck of a game or Bama blows us out.....

I think your game is doable too. But just like us, probably having to fight for everything.

    Your opinions please.

I think it is possible especially if Bama struggles like they did against UK last week. If Snead can play consistently the game will be well in reach. He needs to have zero turnovers in this game or Bama will capitalize on a short field.

No one has really pressured "Tin Cup" yet and I am sure Ole Miss is working on ways to get to the QB this week.

I've tried to watch as many gump games as possible. That game against Kentucky was a snooze fest though. BORING! They didnt look that good, however...

Their D is real, real good. I do think they are hurt with Hightower out though. They have talent but he was an intregal part of that D and it has to hurt some. I'm just not convinced your offense is that good this year.

I think Mcelroy is a decent QB. No question the best 1st year starter in the SEC but he hasnt been rattled and your D can get pressure. You are getting to the QB and he hasnt felt much of that. Their O-line is suspect especially from the back side where they lost all world Smith. If you get on him there is no telling how he's going to react.

Arenes is the best kick returner in the league. I would be more worried about his returns then his D. Every time I see him he looks like he could bust one to the house at a moments notice. He has helped their field position a TON.

I think Ole Miss has a chance but the gumps are a little to talented and well coached. If you get on their QB early anything is possible. He's been really accurate up until now but if you disrupt that who knows what happens. It should be a decent game.

I can't wait to watch this game. I thought the Rebs were robbed 2 years ago and had Bama on the ropes and shoulda won last year. I think Nutt gets it done finally against Bama. Gotta happen sooner or later, like OM beating of LSU last year.

I think it will probably happen. I was there when Eli scored on his first 19 drives and I expect the same energy this weekend.

anything can happen in the SEC. You guys lost by what last season? 3 points? I would venture to say that last year's Alabama team was better, and i think Ole Miss has a better team this season. Is this the game it all comes together for the Rebs?

I tell you what, whoever is in charge of making the Rebel's schedule should be looking for another job right now. What a horrible job. That early bye week has really thrown Ole Miss for a loop.

Ole Miss +5. Jevon Snead finally comes around and Houston Nuttz shoves McCluster in their face. Ole Miss wins. 17-13. And it will be known as "the call the world heard." Write it down.

    Oh yeah. :eek:lefire:
